Nick Olmsted (CEO and founder)
Nick is a renewable energy and infrastructure lawyer with 20 years of experience and is also a full-stack software developer/engineer. Nick has led legal negotiations on dozens of major transactions and engagements across the spectrum of clean energy development, construction, financing and operation, in numerous states as well as a number of foreign jurisdictions, and encompassing solar, wind, battery storage and EV infrastructure. Nick is the chief developer and architect of Algorithm Law’s legal software platform. Nick has also worked on the business side of energy development and financing, having co-founded and sold to an independent power producer a leading commercial solar finance platform. Prior to launching Algorithm Law, Nick served as General Counsel of several top companies in the energy and technology sectors and worked for seven years on complex financing and M&A transactions at Wall Street firms Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. Nick graduated with honors from New York University School of Law and holds additional degrees from Harvard University, the University of Michigan and Vassar College. Nick is a member of the bar in California, New York and Washington, D.C.
Hilary Gelsinger (Senior Associate Attorney)
Hilary is a Senior Associate at Algorithm Law and specializes in legal advice relating to renewable energy development, construction, financing and operation. Hilary has advised on numerous M&A transactions, power purchase agreements, development services agreements, engineering, procurement and construction agreements, financings and other matters concerning energy projects in multiple regions. Prior to joining Algorithm Law, Hilary worked as a real estate finance associate in the New York office of Wall Street firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, where she advised on financing, acquisition and leasing of large commercial real estate portfolios. Hilary is a graduate of New York University School of Law, where she was a Dean’s Scholar, and Georgetown University. Hilary is a member of the bar in New York.
Stephanie Schlitter (Associate Attorney)
Stephanie is a mid-level Associate at Algorithm Law and specializes in legal advice relating to renewable energy development, construction, financing and operation. Stephanie has advised on M&A transactions, power purchase agreements, development services agreements, engineering, procurement and construction agreements, commercial agreements and other matters concerning energy projects in multiple regions. Stephanie is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, Stanford University and the University of California-Berkeley. Stephanie is a member of the bar in Illinois.

Sagar Dhavare (Software Engineer)
Sagar is a software engineer who supports the development, operation and maintenance of Algorithm Law’s platforms and infrastructure. Sagar has more than ten years of experience in software development and is a graduate of Vidyalankar Institute Of Technology.

Carl Edman (Advisor)
Carl Edman is an experienced energy lawyer and software engineer. Carl previously worked as a software engineer on Google’s Google Brain project. Prior to joining Google, Carl worked as an energy and financial lawyer for more than ten years at top Wall Street firms Skadden and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. Carl is a graduate of Georgetown University Law School, where he served on the Georgetown Law Journal and graduated Order of the Coif, as well as Princeton University and the University of California-Irvine. Following graduation from law school he completed a clerkship on the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
